Learn how to manage workforce planning, develop employee and industrial relations policies, manage conflict resolution negotiations, and plan, manage and evaluate the delivery of human resource services. For most online courses study is structured into fixed intakes that have set durations of 12 weeks from the study commencement date. You will be able to access your learning materials from the first day of the study period. You must be enrolled to be able to access your learning materials. To ensure you can manage your study load, we recommend limiting your workload to no more than 2 units of competency per intake or the units required to complete a cluster/stage.
If you want to go on to further study at university, TAFE Queensland has a pathway option to get you there. In many cases, completing one of our diplomas may give you a full year of credit towards a degree with one of our partner universities.

Entry into the mainstream program is via direct entry and it is recommended that you have a sound understanding of human resource processes. It is also important that applicants have the skills to be able to complete written assessments.
Entry into the accelerated program is via an application process and it recommended that you have at least 5 years' experience working in the industry.
It is recommended that you have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system Connect, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for use at all TAFE Queensland locations.
You will be provided with a recommended reading list and/or required textbooks during orientation or at the start of each unit. The purchase of these resources may incur additional costs, or you may be able to borrow them from the TAFE Queensland library network.
You are also required to have access to a calculator, a laptop or tablet device, a USB, a headset including microphone.
When studying online it is strongly recommended students follow the preferred order of study and enrol in no more than two units per intake or the units required to complete a cluster/stage, unless otherwise advised.
Skill and knowledge assessments are an essential step in progressing through your course. You may be assessed in a number of ways while you are studying at TAFE Queensland, including observation, written assessment, questioning, portfolios, work samples, third-party feedback, and through recognition of prior learning.
