The Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology provides skills in networking, computer maintenance, software customisation and fundamental web design concepts.  It will enable you to provide IT support in an organisation with a range of different systems.

Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology (ICT30115) (CRICOS Code 086494F) may be combined with the Diploma of Information Technology, Networking (ICT50415) (CRICOS Code 086643J).  The package price for two years is $18,200.

On successful completion of the Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology, the graduate will be eligible to enrol into the Diploma of Information Technology, Networking.

Entry requirements

Applicants need to demonstrate competence in using a keyboard and mouse, navigating around the Microsoft Windows operating system, file and folder management, browsing and searching the Internet, sending and receiving emails, installing hardware components, installing operating systems and application software, and an intermediate level in the use of office productivity packages such as word processors and spread sheet applications.

International Student specific entry requirements:
English: For students whose first language is not English, the required minimum English language levels is IELTS 5.5 or equivalent, with no individual score less than 5.0 or equivalent assessment.

Academic: The minimum requirements can be one of the following:

  • Certificate II or III – 10 years of schooling (or equivalent)
  • Certificate IV or Diploma – 12 years of schooling (or equivalent)
  • Mature –aged entry with work experience in a related field

Please send certified and translated copies of your English results and academic certificates to the International Student Unit together with your completed and signed application form.

No specific resources are required to successfully complete this course.

It is recommended that students have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at all TAFE Queensland locations.

Compulsory Orientation:  All students must participate in compulsory International orientation on the Friday before classes commence.
