Education and Training Reforms for the Future
What is Education and Training Reforms for the future (ETRF)?
In November 2002, the Queensland Government announced a far-reaching program of reform for Education and Training Reforms for the future; a white paper on the reforms will ensure all young people participate actively in the education and training they need to join the competitive workforce and to take on active roles in their communities.
These changes are the result of extensive research and consultation. Following the release of reform proposals in March 2002, the government undertook widespread consultation with parents, young people, employers, schools, training providers and community organisations. TAFE Queensland and Employment Initiatives actively participated in this process.
